St. Patrick's Day Burger's Resounding Return Sparks Enthusiasm Among Fans!
UK, February 2024: Responding to overwhelming demand, the much-adored 'Patty O' Bun' is set to make a triumphant comeback in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Irish Beef has once again joined forces with Patty&Bun, the beloved burger chain, and the esteemed butcher, HG Walter, to reintroduce this culinary masterpiece.
Launched in 2023, the Patty O' Bun experienced an extraordinary 50% surge in sales, surpassing initial expectations and earning its place as one of Patty & Bun's best-selling specials based on customer feedback.
Throughout March, gastronomes can once again relish the exquisite taste of this limited-edition burger at all 10 Patty & Bun locations in London and Brighton. The Patty O' Bun, made from the finest cuts of pasture raised Irish beef, boasts two aged Irish beef patties, a sumptuous layer of Irish Cashel blue cheese, Guinness onions, and Patty & Bun's signature bacon mayo, all enveloped by a delectable brioche bun.
The collaboration between Adam Heanan, Managing Director of HG Walter, and Joe Grossman, Founder of Patty&Bun, has resurrected this special St. Patrick's Day burger blend, showcasing the excellence of Irish beef. The mouthwatering taste is a testament to cattle grazing on nutrient-rich grass, clover, and yarrow in Ireland, contributing to Irish beef winning numerous medals at the 2022 World Steak Championships.
Crowning the burger patties is the Irish farmhouse cheese, Cashel Blue, adding a rich and full-flavored dimension. Tullamore Dew, a triple-distilled Irish whiskey brand, once again takes part in the celebration with a special Irish Whiskey ‘Pickleback’ cocktail featured on Patty & Bun's drinks menu throughout the month.
Patty & Bun's commitment to using the freshest and finest ingredients is evident in the Patty O' Bun. Since their establishment in 2012, they've collaborated with the award-winning butcher HG Walter to create bespoke patty blends using the highest quality beef cuts.
To celebrate the return of the Patty O' Bun, two lucky Patty & Bun patrons have the chance to win a fabulous weekend getaway to Ireland, the birthplace of Irish beef. The competition, starting on Irish Beef and Patty & Bun’s Instagram channels on March 1st and lasting throughout the month, offers an enticing prize – a weekend retreat for two in Dublin. Participants are encouraged to share their Patty O' Bun experience on social media, tagging @irishbeef @pattyandbun, and using the #pattyobun hashtag.
This initiative includes a range of services such as team training, butchery masterclasses, national marketing campaigns, chef visits, and POS creation. As part of the St. Patrick’s Day campaign, Irish Beef introduces an incentive across all Patty & Bun locations, with the two outlets selling the most Irish Beef burgers winning a prize.
Bord Bia spokesperson, Sean Deane, expressed excitement about the burger's return, stating, "The Patty O' Bun is a celebration of the best of Irish produce, showcasing the delicious taste and quality of Irish beef and cheese." Joe Grossman, Founder of Patty & Bun, echoed the enthusiasm, expressing excitement about the collaboration and the unparalleled taste of the Patty O' Bun.
