June Newsletter 2018 from The Beehive Restaurant & Pub

Summer is beginning and finally we have had some truly glorious days - The Royal Wedding was brilliant and what a cracking weekend for our country!

We are delighted to announce that The Beehive has been recognized in both the Square-Meal Top 100 and Restaurant Magazine Top 100 Restaurants in the UK; we are all incredibly proud of this recognition. A big well done to all of our team and thank youfor your wonderful support.

We are now very much looking forward to our village cricket match against White Waltham CC on Sunday 1st July, when we hope to raise money for Hospitality Action. This summer, Hospitality Action, is asking restaurants, hotels and bars across the nation to help raise funds to support people who work or have worked in hospitality and find themselves in crisis. Our aim is to unite with the UK’s restaurant community in July to help transform hospitality lives.

Summer brings some wonderful dishes to our menu. Fried Courgettes, Hummus & Pitta, delicious Isle of Wight Tomato Tart, Rainbow Trout Salad or Charentais Melon Salad, Risotto of Broad Beans & Tomatoes, Roast Cornish Turbot with Braised Peas, Lettuce & Bacon, Strawberry & Elderflower Mess, Greengage Tart or Gooseberry Crumble. The inspiration for delicious dishes is endless and with all these new dishes beginning to appear our kitchen & restaurant are buzzing.

We continue to run our great value PDQ Lunch Menu, 2 courses at £19.95 or 3 courses at £24.95. This menu changes daily and offers some wonderful dishes for a quick and easy lunch.

We also continue to offer a selection of gifts and prepared food products for sale in our ‘Beehive Shop’; why not try our local honey, bees wax candles or a box of Beehive chocolates? We have various other interesting and delicious items for sale.

Our guest chef dinners have been very popular and we have some exciting guest chefs cooking with us this year. We are constantly planning interesting events and have some wonderful events planned.

All the information on events, our items for sale and current menus can be found on our website. Please book early for all of these events and busy days to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for your continued support; we all look forward to welcoming you for lunch or dinner very soon.
