Who is chef Lucy Stickney MasterChef: The Professionals 2024 contestant?
This week sees the final round of heats in this year’s MasterChef: The Professionals 2024, which next airs on Monday, November 18 at 9pm.
Introducing Lucy Stickney, senior sous chef at Noble Rot Bar in London.
Lucy, 39, made a switch of career to becoming a chef and has cooked at venues such as Rochelle Canteen and The Clove Club in the capital, before joining Noble Rot. She also ran Two Pink Tacos, a delivery service across London.
Italo in Vauxhall has also previously hosted her supper club Sticky Fingers, with the menu inspired by her travels across countries such as Mexico and USA.
Looking ahead to her appearance on MasterChef, Lucy said: “I’ve only been a chef for five years, but I’ve packed a lot into those five years.
“I trained for a year at culinary school. I’ve worked in some of London’s best restaurants, including Michelin-starred places.
“I’m in a good place for the amount of time I’ve been a chef.”
She added: “My biggest food influence growing up was my grandma.
“When she passed away she left me some money, which allowed me to go to cookery school.
“I’d really like to do her proud and do really well in the competition.”
