Biography
Dorian was established by Chris D'Sylva, who aimed to create a unique dining experience in Notting Hill, an area known for its high-profile culinary scene. The restaurant opened its doors in 2020, under the culinary leadership of Max Coen. Coen, a former Head Chef at notable establishments like Ikoyi and Kitchen Table, and the Three Michelin-starred Frantzen in Stockholm, brings a wealth of experience and a fresh approach to British cuisine. The restaurant was awarded one Michelin star at the Michelin Guide for UK and Ireland 2024.
The Restaurant
Set in a former bistro space, Dorian exudes a chic, industrial elegance with dark painted walls, wood panelling, and brass furnishings. Its unique location and stylish interiors make it a beacon of modern luxury dining in Notting Hill. The restaurant operates with a focus on providing an atmospheric dining experience that transitions seamlessly from day to night, making it ideal for both casual lunches and elegant dinners.
Food & Wine
Dorian's menu showcases the best of British produce with a modern twist. Signature dishes include wood-roasted Orkney scallop with pumpkin and 55-day-aged pork chop. The cuisine is complemented by a selective wine list, crafted with inputs from Noble Rot’s Keeling Andrew & Co., offering an extensive range of French and Italian wines. The restaurant also features a creative cocktail menu, including unique offerings like the fig leaf negroni.
