The Restaurant

Situated in Soho, Humble Chicken is a testament to Angelo Sato’s dedication to yakitori. The restaurant is designed around the central concept of yakitori, a popular Japanese style of cooking skewered chicken, where different parts of the chicken are grilled over charcoal. However, Sato’s approach is distinctive for his commitment to using the entire bird, reflecting his sustainability ethos.

The menu at Humble Chicken features a variety of skewers, each part of the chicken treated with care to bring out unique textures and flavours, complemented by a selection of other small dishes that incorporate Japanese ingredients with a contemporary twist. The intimate setting of the restaurant, with its counter seating arrangement, allows guests to watch as their dishes are prepared, providing an immersive dining experience.

Humble Chicken has garnered attention for its focus on quality and innovation, with critics praising its ability to transform simple ingredients into compelling dishes. The restaurant's atmosphere, coupled with its innovative menu, makes it a standout destination for those seeking an authentic yet modern yakitori experience in London.

Under Angelo Sato’s guidance, Humble Chicken continues to thrive as a culinary hotspot, embodying his vision of combining traditional Japanese techniques with a modern culinary approach, all while adhering to principles of sustainability and excellence.
