TAKE A FRESH LOOK

Wines have been produced in the Prosecco DOC regions for 2,000 years, but modern wineries in the area are choosing a sustainable production that meets every demand, from biodynamic and organic to vegan to meet the requirements of a more selective audience, and the labelling of these wines has become clearer nowadays, to make selection easier.

When it comes to considering Prosecco DOC on your wines lists, what should be your priorities?

Train your staff to understand the style of Prosecco wines, and to tell the story of the Prosecco Dreamland, the terroir and the regions which include some of Italy’s most beautiful natural scenery and cultural cities including Venice, Treviso and Trieste.

Consider Brut as well as Extra Dry styles – Extra Dry is the largest typology in volume terms and makes for the perfect aperitif, but tastes for Brut, Extra Brut and Brut Nature are growing, and these wines are phenomenal for food pairings.
