Lockhart Catering Equipment to Award NHS Chef of the Year Finalists with Bespoke Prizes to Celebrate Their Achievements

As the final stage of NHS Chef of the Year approaches, key sponsor Chef Works, part of Lockhart Catering Equipment, has collated a series of prizes to celebrate all finalists.

All ten finalists will receive their own Chefs Against Plastic Waste chef jacket after the competition, part of Lockhart Catering Equipment’s exclusive Brigade range. Anvil will be supplying the final four contestants with a complimentary pair of slip-resistant occupational shoes, and Lockhart will be gifting the overall winner a pair of knives from GenWare’s Professional Chef Knife Collection.

Simon Britten, Head of Marketing at Lockhart Catering Equipment is excited about the competition:
"Getting to the last stage in this prestigious competition is a huge achievement, and we want to celebrate all the finalists, which is why we’ve pulled these prize packages together. With increasing awareness around environmental issues in the foodservice and health sectors, we’re particularly excited to be presenting all the finalists with their own Chefs Against Plastic Waste chef jacket, which embodies our commitment to a more sustainable future, and that we hope they will be able to wear with pride.”

The Chefs Against Plastic Waste range by Brigade is made using recycled bottles to create polyester fibres, which are blended with cotton (65% polyester and 35% cotton) to combine the best of both materials. The result is a jacket that benefits from the durability and moisture-wicking properties of polyester, and the comfort and breathability of cotton – making it functional and comfortable.

The overall winner will be announced on Friday 18th October, following a week of culinary excellence, and Lockhart will present the competitors with their prizes shortly afterwards.
