Dishoom prepare to open new site by Carnaby Street

The Staff Canteen
The Dishoom team are pleased to announce that they will be opening a new restaurant later this year. Dezeen-Live-at-100-percent-Design_11Dishoom Carnaby will be located on Soho’s Kingly Street, just off iconic Carnaby Street. The site comprises a restaurant, bar and courtyard, spanning in total 7,000 sq ft. Dishoom Covent Garden opened in 2010, and after the Dishoom Chowpatty Beach pop-up at Southbank in Summer 2011, the second permanent site, Dishoom Shoreditch, opened in 2012. Dishoom King’s Cross followed in November 2014, at Granary Square. In February Dishoom Covent Garden topped the 100 Best UK Restaurants opinion poll by Yelp, beating famous celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal. Dishoom owner Shamil Thakrar was 'blown away' when the restaurant took the top spot and said at the time: “We couldn't be more delighted to hear this news. We feel privileged just to be able to serve the guests who come through our doors for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and perhaps share a little bit of our love for Bombay food and culture with them.” Further details of Dishoom Carnaby will be released later this summer, prior to the opening in autumn 2015.
