Lockhart Rewards Key Suppliers at Annual Conference

Leading supplier, Lockhart Catering Equipment, used its annual conference as the perfect occasion to recognise individuals and companies that have excelled throughout the last 12 months. The awards have been developed to pay tribute to those who go above and beyond to ensure the very best service and standards on a daily basis.

In the ‘Light Equipment Supplier of the Year’ category, tableware supplier Churchill, was victorious as its continued commitment to customer service and rigorous reliability was once again acknowledged to be the best around. Within the ‘Heavy Equipment Supplier of the Year’ class, food preparation specialists Robot Coupe triumphed above the rest thanks to its outstanding customer service, sales support and product quality.

When it came to ‘Outstanding Supplier for Sales Support in Light Equipment’, it was impossible to separate Mark Stait & Kevin Chalkley from Nevilles, who jointly prevailed thanks to their unrivalled knowledge and expertise, whilst within the ‘Outstanding Supplier for Sales Support in Heavy Equipment’, Stefan Wilcock from Foster walked away successful thanks to his ability to communicate technical expertise and support solution selling.

With sustainability high on everyone’s agenda, it was only right that two new categories from 2024 continued to be included. In the ‘Heavy Equipment Sustainable Supplier of the Year’ Falcon walked away with the trophy after opening a fully operational hydrogen-powered kitchen and prioritising future-proof cooking solutions that help operators achieve their net-zero targets. In the ‘Light Equipment Sustainable Supplier of the Year’ it was Emile Henry who walked tall for their new state-of-the-art facility, which is set to feature solar panels, optimised energy expenditure, and a refined production process to create their sustainable and durable ceramic pots, dishes, and containers.

In the final award of the night, voted for by Lockhart and leading brand suppliers, Tracey Stevenson, Head of Customer Service and Commercial Support at Steelite was recognised with the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Tracey has dedicated 35 years of her life in the service of Steelite, Steelite’s customers, and a very special relationship with Lockhart Catering Equipment.  She is a hugely respected and loved individual both inside Steelite, Lockhart and across the entire industry.

Iain Hicks, Purchasing Director at Lockhart Catering Equipment offered wholehearted congratulations to all the winners;
“We’re delighted to be celebrating the achievements of all who have been acknowledged at this years’ awards, and I would like to take a moment to also appreciate the hard work of the many more that were shortlisted.
The Lockhart annual supplier awards are not only a great opportunity to catch up with existing connections and get to better know some of our new partners – they’re also for marking milestones together and inspiring each other to continue working toward collaborative success.”

As well as the awards, Lockhart’s Supplier Conference provided partners with the chance to showcase innovative product benefits and new ranges to the Lockhart team, providing an invaluable resource when the team are discussing customers’ unique requirements

Underscoring the 2-day-event was an emphasis on sustainability. In line with Lockhart’s Sustainable Future programme, suppliers reported their progress towards environmental goals determined at last years’ event, discussing next steps and KPIs with Lockhart’s Sustainability and Purchasing Assistant, Phoebe Collins and helping determine the winners of the sustainability focused categories.
