Lockhart Catering Equipment Celebrates Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year Winners with Trip to Obsession and Artisanal Food Tour

Continental Chef Supplies (CCS), part of Lockhart Catering Equipment, has partnered with Lafont to celebrate the achievements of the winners of Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year.

Overall winner Orry Shand from Entier Ltd, has been invited by Lockhart to Obsession Food Festival’s 25th Anniversary, alongside a selection of finalists from last year’s competition – including winner Alex Angelogiannis.

Taking place in January 2025, the festival is one of Europe’s premier gastronomic events, with world-class chefs attending from all over the globe. The eagerly awaited lineup for this special milestone iteration of the event has been kept tightly under wraps, and is due to be announced later this year.

Whilst in Lancashire, the finalists will also be embarking on a Bowland & Bay artisanal food tour around some of the North’s finest culinary suppliers, including award-winning micro-breweries, gin distilleries, local ice cream makers, and dairy farms.

Finally, Orry will also be presented with a £500 voucher to spend on CCS’s full range of tableware and catering equipment, with this year’s runner-up Cleverson Cordeiro receiving a £300 voucher, and third-place winner Paul Gamble receiving £200, so all three finalists can plate up their Craft Guild of Chefs NCOTY-award-winning dishes in style.

Simon Britten, Head of Marketing at Lockhart Catering Equipment remarks on the upcoming celebrations:
“Reaching the final of such a prestigious competition is a huge accomplishment, and we want to ensure this achievement continues to be recognised, which is why we’re inviting a selection of finalists from last year to join us and Orry at Obsession. We’re really excited about the anniversary edition of the festival, and we hope that it, and the artisanal food tour we’ll be undertaking will give them something to look forward to after the buzz of the competition and fuel their culinary creativity to go on creating show-stopping dishes.”
