Europe’s Best Sushi? Former 3-Star Michelin Omakase | Inside The Araki London

Step inside The Araki London, and experience its legendary omakase under the leadership of Chef Marty Lau. The restaurant lost its Michelin stars after Master Araki departed and handed over the reins, but does it still serve some of the best sushi in Europe?

In this exclusive look, Chef Marty Lau showcases his expertise in Edomae sushi, preparing an incredible selection of dishes. He starts with Otoro Nigiri, featuring rich, fatty tuna on perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Next, he presents The Araki’s signature Toro Truffle Scrambled Eggs, a luxurious dish that blends deep umami flavors with delicate textures. Finally, he serves Ika Nigiri with Golden Almas Caviar, combining tender squid with one of the most prized caviars in the world.

Despite losing its Michelin status, The Araki continues to push the boundaries of sushi excellence. With Chef Marty Lau at the helm, the question remains—does it still deserve to be called Europe’s best sushi restaurant? Watch and decide for yourself.
