Better Quality Ice = More Drinks Sold

It is a bold claim, but the better quality your ice is, the more drinks you will sell. And the better they will taste.

This is not about promoting irresponsible drinking, but ensuring you offer your customers the best quality service and drinks.

If your ice machine is poorly serviced, the ice will be at a lower temperature and will not be as pure. This causes it to melt quick and dilute the drink. This in turn ruins the flavour and means drinks last that bit longer.

By using a quality ice machine and keeping it well maintained, ice will be colder. This means that it takes longer to melt, not diluting the drink and ensuring customers return for that next drink a little quicker because they are just left with ice.

What is more, ice should be treated as food. Therefore, a poorly maintained ice machine can lead to bacteria build-up and other nasties. Which is not good for drinks, or where ice is used elsewhere in your restaurant.

When was the last time your ice machine was serviced?
