The New Year will see Paul Bates join JW Marriott Grosvenor House as Executive Chef

General Manager Stuart Bowery is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Bates to the position of Executive Chef at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, effective January 2019.

Paul joins Grosvenor House from the Hilton London Bankside where he was a member of the 2015 opening team. Paul launched a multi-outlet culinary operation with extensive conference and banqueting space, whilst creating the successful destination restaurant OXBO.

In 2014 Paul led the opening team at The Beaumont, a luxury Mayfair hotel with the successful Colony Grill signature restaurant. Paul is no stranger to Park Lane; from 2007 to 2014 he was Executive Chef at the Intercontinental Park Lane, with significant Banqueting within a hotel of scale.

With over 25 years’ experience, managing effective kitchen teams and profitable luxury operations, Paul is well placed to build on the legacy of high regard by outgoing Executive Chef Nigel Boschetti, who moves on to take up his new role at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, USA.
