The Elephant to welcome Richard Davies as first guest chef of 2018

The Elephant in Torquay will be welcoming Welsh talent Richard Davies as its first guest chef of 2018 when he takes over the kitchen on Friday 26 January.
Many will recognise Richard from BBC2s Great British Menu. Richard has represented Wales three times on the show and made it to the final banquet with his winning dessert in 2013.
Richard is now executive chef of Calcot Manor in Gloucestershire where he uses modern techniques to add unusual touches to the freshest, seasonal produce. Prior to joining Calcot Manor, he worked for over 8 years at the Manor House, Castle Combe, where he won and retained a Michelin star for 8 years. His experience also includes working at Sawyards Restaurant where he first won a Michelin star, The Vineyard at Stockcross and three years at the 3 Michelin starred restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
The dinner will feature five courses of Richard’s Great British Menu worthy cooking and will be priced at £60 per person.

Book two guest chef dinners and get yourself a date at the hottest table in town!
Diners who book Richard’s dinner and Simon Ulph’s dinner on 22 November will be given advance opportunity to book a table at our guest chef dinner in March when we’ll have one of the UK’s best loved chefs in the kitchen. The dinner will take place on Wednesday 7 March and it’s sure to be a sell out. Tables for the March dinner will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and a deposit will be taken to secure the booking. Terms and conditions apply.
