Clare Smyth named as one of the judges on Netflix’s new cooking show - The Final Table.

Clare Smyth (Best Female Chef at the World’s 50 Best) has been announced as one of the judges on Netflix’s new cooking show - The Final Table. The renowned chef will be representing the UK as one of nine impressive judges appraising the competing chefs.

Described as a ‘a global culinary competition show featuring the world’s most renowned chefs fighting for a spot at the elite,” the show which is due to air later this year will see teams of chefs fight to impress some of the world's toughest palates as they whip up a selection of iconic dishes representative of different nations in this fast-paced competition.

12 chefs from around the world will be divided into teams of two and will be tasked on cooking different countries’ cuisines which will include the national dishes of Mexico, Spain, England, Brazil, France, Japan, the United States, India, and Italy. Each episode will focus on a different country and cuisine with the eventual winning chef being honoured with a seat at the ‘final table’.

Clare is one of an renowned lineup of judges which include: Grant Achatz from America’s Alinea (ranked number 34 in the World’s 50 Best); Spain’s Andoni Aduriz of Mugaritz (number nine in the world); chef Vineet Bhatia from India; Carlo Cracco from Italy’s Michelin-starred Cracco in Milan; Enrique Olvera of Mexico’s Pujol (number 13 in the world); Yoshihiro Narisawa of Japan’s Les Créations de Narisawa (number 22 in the world); Anne-Sophie Pic of France’s three Michelin-starred Maison Pic; and Helena Rizzo of Maní in Brazil.

Final Table will be presented by Andrew Knowlton, the James Beard award-winning writer and editor at large of U.S. food publication, Bon Appétit.

Clare Smyth is the chef patron of Core in London and was named best female chef at the World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards gala in Bilbao in June. Clare has previously worked for the Roux brothers and Heston Blumenthal and has also worked as head chef at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, picking up three Michelin stars and an MBE along the way.
