August sees the return of Great British Menu and we’re bringing you all of the coverage including interviews with the chef contestants, daily blogs and recipes from the show.
This month also means summer produce is at its peak and your dishes have been showcasing that on our Chef+ app.
Here’s our top picks of chefs to follow this month:
Can you believe that the most popular drinks recipe this month was posted last year? TheJAMROCK Barbadian Rum Cocktail, recipe by Michal Golecki, head mixologist at Studio Bar, K West Hotel & Spa. This colourful cocktail has Doorly’s XO rum, banana liqueur and Malibu, making it a perfect summer drink! It’s even named after the legend himself, Damian Marley.
There’s plenty of rich and luxurious seasonal produce in August, including figs, grouse and monkfish. Make sure you upload your seasonal recipes and images to the Chef+ app, and we'll share the best ones on our social media channels.
If you’re wondering what fish and shellfish to put on your menus this month, there’s lots of great species in season including mussels, lemon soleand lobster.
Our Chef Plus Member of the Month for June is Stefan Winheim. Stefan works as chef de cuisine at the Hotel an der Therme Bad Orb, just outside of Frankfurt. He is responsible for catering for a variety of guests at the hotel and spa, and has a creative and modern cooking style.
