This week's restaurant openings round-up includes a sizzling new burger restaurant and a brasserie joining the UK dining scene.

Burger and Beyond

Manchester will be the first city aside from London to welcome Burger and Beyond, a restaurant offering burgers, craft cocktails and signature dishes.
The franchise currently has restaurants in Shoreditch, Soho and Borough.
Located at 10 Coleman Street, House of Social in Manchester is a new student housing community set to open in summer 2025.
Founded by dynamic duo and lifelong Tom Stock & Craig Povoas in 2015, Burger & Beyond is renowned for its award-winning chef-quality burgers, served up alongside a creative list of signature sides and craft cocktails.
The new student space will also feature four other kitchens including Mughli.
In a post on social media from House of Social, it read: “Burger & Beyond have been serving the best burgers in London since 2015, so we’re honoured to be the first place they open outside of the Capital.
“Expect all their signature burgers and sides on the menu, plus a few indulgent specials.
“After years of dreaming about bringing Burger & Beyond to new cities, we’re thrilled to finally be making our Manchester debut at House of Social. The city has such a vibrant food scene, and we’re looking forward to sharing our burgers with a whole new audience.
“It’s going to be a fantastic summer!”

Browns Brasserie and Bar Southgate

Browns, a brasserie and Bar in Southgate opens on April 3 following an exciting refurbishment from the former Ye Olde Cherry Tree Pub.
More than 35 jobs are now available as a result of the refurbishment.
The renovation pays homage to the building’s Grade II history while also introducing a fresh, elegant style.
The launch opens in time for the Browns new seasonal menu with exciting new dishes that celebrate British brasserie classics and seasonally inspired creations such as Prawn Cocktail, Sherry Trifle and Coronation Cauliflower alongside Pea & asparagus risotto and Pulled lamb shepherd’s pie, followed by Bramley apple & rhubarb crumble.
Ocasa, Manchester

A high-energy Mexican-inspired restaurant and bar, is set to open its doors this Easter Bank Holiday.
With a menu created by executive chef Lucie Sainerova, the new restaurant will offer dishes such as robata-grilled yakitori-style taco skewers (Yaki Takos), vibrant bowls, and shareable plates and BBQ tacos fresh off the grill.
Lucie said: “We’re taking familiar flavours and elevating them in ways that surprise and excite. From our Dragon Salt Wagyu Tacos to the Lobster Thermidor Nachos, every dish tells a story. This is Mexican food like you’ve never seen before.”
Customers can expect ice- cold frozen margaritas, tableside cooking, and an atmosphere buzzing with the energy of Tulum beach.

A popular bakery created by Reem Abusamra has announced the launch of a new site, opening on April 2.
Located on 137 Fulham Road SW3, the bakery is known for its fun, uncomplicated attitude towards baking.
Speaking on the opening, Reem said: “Opening our first bakery has been more than a dream come true for me, I live and breathe this business & our cakes. For as long as I can remember I have been feeding my banana cake to friends & family.
“I love that I am still doing that now. Quality, taste and fun have always been at the forefront of everything we do here at Reemies, and I can’t wait for people to be able to pop in, try a bite (or three) and taste a little bit of the magic.”
Guests can expect to see popular freshly baked goods such as the signature banana cake, Mum’s carrot cake and a chocolate fudge cake.
Cinnamon Kitchen

The Cinnamon Collection has also announced the launch of its first North England restaurant, Cinnamon Kitchen, opening this May.
The 105-cover restaurant and bar is launching in partnership with the Grade II listed The Queens Hotel in Leeds city centre.
The culturally designed menu has been created to take guests on a culinary journey with dishes inspired by the 2,355-mile route of the Himsagar Express, spanning 12 states from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Bhopal and New Delhi.
Guests can expect to indulge in dishes including Masala Grilled Salmon; Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Lamb Roganjosh Shepherd’s Pie alongside a variety of chaats and plant-based options
CEO Vivek Singh said: “We’re thrilled to be opening at The Queens Hotel. The heritage of this historic railway hotel perfectly complements our vision, with interiors inspired by some of India’s most beautiful first-class waiting rooms and a menu that takes diners on a culinary romp through 12 states.
“It’s a great time for Cinnamon Kitchen to open in Leeds in the same year that Bradford celebrates being UK City of Culture 2025."
