The line up for Obsession 16 has been announced

The Staff Canteen
Now in it's 16th year and created by Northcote's Nigel Haworth, the much anticipated Obsession has announced an enviable line up.  obsession-15-1170x456It’s a feast in every sense of the word, a celebration, a fiesta, a festival of incredible food and wine - and it's back starting January 22. Obsession was born when Nigel Haworth travelled to California in 2000, he was inspired to create a food festival in the UK. January seemed like the perfect time to him to hold such an event to increase the trading period. “Now it’s the busiest time of year,” explained Nigel when he spoke to The Staff Canteen about Obsession 15. “People want to come back year after year.” Having been at Northcote for 30 years now, and Obsession running for over half that time, Nigel was impressed by the continuous support it still receives. He also revealed the recipe for Obsession success. “It’s getting the really interesting chefs with the great personalities as well as being great cooks,” he explained. “The food’s just been amazing. When you do events like this, you always expect it to be good, but it really surpassed all expectations.” But Obsession is not just about the food, the wines, the service, it's not formulas that make great festivals, it’s the people; the chefs; the staff and the guests at the 16th year of Obsession, when they celebrate 16 nights of pure gastronomic brilliance! Take a look below at the line up of the 16th festival - they have chefs joining them from Mexico… South Africa… Japan…Taiwan… Poland… Italy… Jersey… France and the UK.jean-luc-rocha January 22: Jean-Luc Rocha, Château Cordeillan-Bages, Pauillac, France - 2 Michelin Stars January 23: Mark Jordan, Ocean Restaurant, The Atlantic Hotel, St Brelade JERSEY - 1 Michelin Star January 24: Tom Sellers, Restaurant Story, London - 1 Michelin Star January 25: Annie Féolde, Restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri, Florence, Italy - 3 Michelin Stars January 26: Aktar Islam, Lasan, Birmingham January 27: Angelo Sabatelli Restaurant, Monopoli, Italy - 1 Michelin Star and Marco Stabile - Ora d’Aria Restaurant, Florence, Italy - 2 Michelin Stars January 29: Lanshu Chen, Le Moût, Taichung City, Taiwan January 30: André Garrett, Cliveden House, Berkshire January 31: Hideaki Matsuo, Kashiwaya, Osaka, Japan - 3 Michelin Stars February 1: Peter Tempelhoff, The Greenhouse, The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa February 2: Arnaud Bignon, The Greenhouse, mayfair, London - 2 Michelin Starsnigel-haworth-770x770 February 3: Robert Ortiz, Lima, Fiztrovia, London - 1 Michelin Star February 4: Diego Hernández, Corazón De Tierra, Ensenada, Mexico February 5: Wojciech Modest Amaro, Atelier Amaro, Warsaw, Poland - 1 Michelin Star February 6: Lisa Allen and Chantelle Nicholson, Lisa Allen - Northcote, Langho - 1 Michelin Star February 7: Nigel Haworth, Northcote, Langho - 1 Michelin Star
