Louisa Ellis has announced she is leaving Destination 105, a food-focused event experience in Nottingham.

Established in January 2024, the venue hosts various culinary events, such as tasting menus and themed dinners, rather than offering a regular restaurant service.

Louisa, the resident chef, is known for her appearance on MasterChef: The Professionals where she was a finalist in 2017 and a winner of  MasterChef The Professionals: A Festive Knockout in 2020.

She also featured on Great British Menu in 2024.

Louisa announced she is moving into private dining once her residency at Destination 105 has ended.

In a post on social media from Louisa and the team, it read: “I’m writing to share some bittersweet news. My residency here at Destination 105 is coming to an end. I’ve had an amazing time here, but it’s time for a new chapter.

"Although I won’t be the resident chef at Destination 105, I’ve cherished some special memories there, and I doubt this will be the last time you see me. Nevertheless, it’s time to shift my focus to private dining experiences and embrace new opportunities that may come my way, regardless of their nature.

“On the bright side, Chef Louisa Ellis is all about creating unforgettable experiences, and I’m excited to continue that journey. I’ve got some super fun events planned for you before I leave. Keep an eye out on my newsletter & socials for these dates: March 21st and 30th, April 4th, 14th, 18th, and 25th.

“If you have a private function booked with us after this period, your booking is still on and happening as planned. I just wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who’s been so supportive of me during my time here.

“I’ve grown both personally and professionally, and I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge and skills I’ve gained. I can’t thank my amazing staff enough for their hard work and dedication to the events we’ve organised. Without them, these events wouldn’t have been possible, and I’m so lucky to have them on my team.

“I hope you can join us before we say goodbye.”
