aether Manchester Airport collaborates with Adam Reid
aether, the new private terminal at Manchester Airport, has unveiled its bespoke menu, crafted by acclaimed local chef Adam Reid.
As CAVU's latest innovation, aether is offering a seamless, stress-free journey with a curated dining experience.
It launched this week, with the terminal providing passengers with an unmatched check-in and lounge service that includes a partnership with BMW for travel from the terminal to the airport gates. Passengers will also have the exclusive opportunity to savour Adam Reid's meticulously crafted menu, designed to enhance their dining experience before or after their journey.
Renowned for his work at Adam Reid at The French, the award-winning chef has created a menu that brings new heights to airport dining, catering to passengers arriving or departing from Manchester Airport. Adam’s signature style of accessible yet refined cuisine is reflected in the offerings, ensuring a sophisticated yet approachable dining experience.
The menu is divided into three set dining experiences: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highlights from the breakfast menu include hot smoked salmon and scrambled crumpet, Adam’s signature breakfast bun, and stewed fruit with granola and yoghurt.
Lunch features a crumpet topped with shrimp and tomato butter and salad, mincemeat gravy on toasted malt loaf, and Kirkham's cheese and mushroom toast with walnut ketchup.
For dinner, guests can indulge in roasted Cornish cod with brown shrimp, stewed beef cheek with crispy bits of sage, or glazed hen of the woods mushrooms. Both lunch and dinner also include cheese, chutney, cake of the day, and seasonal crumble with this season’s stewed fruits.
aether offers private check-in and security, along with luxury chauffeur-driven transfers in partnership with BMW. With flexible packages - 'express' for cabin bags and 'inclusive' for cabin and checked luggage - the aether experience is open to all passengers, regardless of ticket class, making it a first in the UK for elevated airport experiences.
As Manchester Airport breaks records – August was the busiest month in its history, cementing its position as the UK’s biggest airport outside London - aether’s inclusive model marks a significant shift in the industry, ensuring that exceptional travel experiences are accessible to all.
Adam Reid commented: “I’m excited to be collaborating with the team at aether to curate a bespoke set menu for Manchester Airport’s new private terminal. We’ve crafted a delicious and thoughtful dining experience, marking a first for UK private terminals. With a guided set menu, guests can enjoy a stress-free and effortless journey, allowing them to fully relax before they travel.”
Suzanne Orr, general manager of aether, added: “aether is evolving the airport experience for all travellers to and from Manchester Airport. Our collaboration with Adam Reid, one of the city’s top culinary talents, perfectly complements aether’s commitment to offering a high-quality, stress-free travel experience.”
