Every second news report is about how the UK is set for another scorcher of a week.

While that can be good news for restaurant profit margins, with keen alfresco diners lapping up your summer tasting menus and pub drinkers eager to line their stomachs, it can make for an unpleasant time in the kitchen.

But don't despair chefs, here are ten things hotter than your kitchen:

1) That pan you burnt your hands on last week

Come on, tea towel on the handle guys

2) Gordon Ramsay's mouth after the Hot Ones spicy wings challenge

The  donuts, milk, citrus juice and bucket of tissues he brought with him didn't do much to temper the heat

3) Marco

Okay, Marco 30 years ago

4) Scarlett Johansson

And the good news is, she thinks chefs are hot, too

5) The chilli that made Homer hallucinate

But if you start seeing space coyotes, maybe it's time to turn the Josper off

6) That sunburn everyone who went to Glasto came back with

Look on the brightside, you can't get sunburnt in a kitchen

7) That "fever" the chef that didn't show up to work today says he has

Mhm. Definitely nought to do with those 12 pints he drank last night

dying

8) King's Landing in the last series of Game of Thrones

Though in this heat, you might be getting Daenerys levels of cranky

9) The tube

Let's face it, it's about as hot as your fryer in there and nothing tasty comes out of it

10) The sun

- but only just

The heat might make you delirious, and hoping that you'll step into the walk-in at the end of service and find this.
