Williams' NEW Jade cabinets and counters

We have updated our top-of-the-range Jade Counters and Cabinets, making them more energy efficient and practical than ever. Designed for commercial kitchens, these latest models help operators cut energy costs, maximise storage and ensure food safety.

Both counters and cabinets feature a variety of energy saving features and components. These include Willams’ updated CoolSmart controller, which monitors operation and internal temperature, minimising energy by only running the system when it’s required. Its sleek new capacitive touchscreen is highly sensitive and accurate, using clear visuals, including a bright white temperature display. Since it is IP55 rated, the screen is both water- and dust-proof.

“The new Jade range is a sustainable, future-proof refrigeration solution,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director at Williams. “They deliver market-leading energy figures and, like all Williams products, they’re built to last.”

Our Jade refrigerated counters with doors now boast an A+ energy rating with the lowest kWh figures on the market. Despite having a smaller footprint, their usable capacity remains superior. For example, the two door model can hold up to 186 litres, while the three door version offers 280 litres - significantly more than comparable models on the market.

Their ‘squeeze-ability’ is further enhanced by their front-breathing refrigeration system, allowing them to be installed flush against walls, making them an excellent choice for kitchens where space is at a premium.

Another key improvement to the counters is the significantly reduced noise levels, making the them ideal for open-plan kitchens. For example, the standard refrigerated model such as the HJC3 has a noise level of just 50 dBA, compared to 63dBA on the previous version – offering a noticeably quieter working environment.

The Jade counter range is still compatible with a huge range of options. They include raised pan holders and cut out wells to hold ingredients as a prep station; drawers instead of doors, in banks of either two or three; and a choice of counter height. Both refrigerated and freezer Jade counters are available in three sizes, two-, three- and four-door, with capacities of 317 litres, 469 litres and 622 litres respectively. All are designed to accommodate 1/1 GN shelves.

The Jade cabinets have also been refined for improved energy efficiency. Both the refrigerated and freezer models have decreased energy consumption, offering caterers significant energy savings. For example, the single door HJ1 has an energy grade of A.

Both Jade cabinets and counters feature natural refrigerant. As well as enhancing energy efficiency, this makes them a truly green choice, with low GWP and zero ODP. All Jade models offer premium performance, being tested to Climate Class 5 and capable of operating efficiently in ambient temperatures up to 43°C.

Practicality remains of paramount importance in the updated range. The ‘easy grab’ door handle is both an attractive feature and a practical one, since it makes opening the counter easy with one hand. Indeed, the Jade’s design is all about making life easier for the chef. It’s durable construction also ensures it can stand up to the toughest kitchen environment, while shelving and racking is easy to remove for cleaning.
