- 2750g flour
- 250g cocoa powder
- 160g baking powder
- 10ml salt
- 750g soft vegetable spread
- 500g chocolate chips
- 3 pints rice milk (approximately 1.6lt)

Vegan Chocolate Chip Scones
Scones are the perfect treat for Afternoon Tea Week (14th - 21st August)! This recipe from our Afternoon Tea menu at Rubens at The Palace is vegan (dairy free).
Ingredients
Method
1. Place all dry ingredients into the bowl and mix through thoroughly
2. Add milk to the dry ingredients mix and mix through (don’t over mix). The mix may be a little wet this is ok
3. Roll out until the mix is 1 inch thick
4. Cut, glaze and bake at 175C for 8 mins in a preheated oven
5.Glaze –rice or coconut milk and pinch of sugar
