The Staff Canteen

The Staff Canteen wouldn’t exist without the hospitality industry so during this tough and uncertain period we, along with our clients, want to give as much as we can to the Hospitality Action Covid-19 Hospitality Fund.

We like all businesses have had to relook at how we operate and the services we can offer so, to any business that wants to be a part of our community, we will be donating 10% of all booked revenue over the next few months to the Hospitality Action Covid-19 Hospitality Fund.

The Staff Canteen Founder, Mark Morris, said: “These are unprecedented times for so many people, what has been so reassuring is the unity and support that everyone in hospitality is showing to others and the wider community.

"The impact on jobs, mental health and families are really quite scary, and why we at The Staff Canteen want to support the great work of HA. It’s a difficult time for all business but we need to support each other and help those who need it most.”

So far, the fund has seen over £130k donated and from Monday, March 23, hospitality workers were able to start applying for a one-off £250 grant.

Jeremey Gibson, Hospitality Action’s Marketing Director, said: “Hospitality Action exists to help hospitality workers in difficulty or crisis. Our support has never been more urgently needed by so many people as it is now. When the Coronavirus emergency hit, we launched an emergency fundraising appeal which has so far raised £130,000. But we need many more donations, if we are to continue supporting people in acute need. We are therefore hugely grateful to the team at The Staff Canteen and their customers for supporting us. On behalf of the people we’ll be able to help through your generosity, thank you.”

Gastronomix are one of the first to champion this offer, Inge Meijs, Co Founder and head of Digital Marketing, said: “We absolutely admire the work Hospitality Action does, it shows that the hospitality industry and their people will always have each other’s backs.”
