Today the Top 50 Gastro Pubs 2016 were announced. Here's the Top 10: 1. The Sportsman sports Stephen Harris’ The Sportsman is a Michelin-starred pub in Whistable, Kent. Stephen Harris goes back to basics at The Sportsman by churning his own butter and making salt!

2. The Pipe and Glass pipe This pub in South Dalton, East Yorkshire is headed by Husband and wife team James and Kate Mackenzie who serve up traditional Yorkshire dishes. 3. The Star Inn at Harome star The Star Inn is located in York, and was one of the first pubs in the country to be awarded a Michelin star, with Andrew Pern in the kitchen using locally sourced produce. 4. The Coach Tom Kerridge’s The Coach in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, serves small tapas style dishes.

5. The Pony & Trap pony Josh Eggleton and his sister Holly own this Michelin starred country pub in Chew Magna, Bristol, which serves seasonal dishes.

6. Freemasons at Wiswell free Steven Smith owns Freemasons at Wiswell which is located in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The pub offers British dishes with a twist.

7. Harwood Arms arms This pub located in Fulham is the only Michelin starred pub in London. Co-owned by Brett Graham, the dishes at Harwood Arms are traditionally British.

8. The Hardwick hardwi Owned by Stephen Terry, this pub found in Monmouthshire, Wales, serves dishes such as confit duck hash with hen’s egg, chicory and burnt orange dressing.

9. The Kingham Plough king Emily Watkins and husband Miles Lampson, The Kingham Plough is located in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. Emily Watkins has featured on TV shows such as Great British Menu as a mentor.
