Simon Attridge has announced his departure from Gleneagles
Executive Chef Simon Attridge has announced he will be leaving Scotland’s famous Gleneagles Hotel.
Announcing his upcoming departure on his LinkedIn account Simon, who has spent the last 6 years hotel’s award-winning food and drink offering, announced that he was leaving the hotel, whilst encouraging chefs to apply to for his position.
In a post on his social media, Simon said: “Check out this job at Gleneagles: Executive Chef - After 6 amazing years my time has come to move on. An amazing opportunity at a fantastic property with a great team!!”
Before joining Gleneagles, Simon has worked for a number of premier hotels and organisations across his 20 years career history.
Simon’s previous positions include; Executive Chef at UBS, Chef de Cuisine at Shangri-la Hotel and Resorts, Executive Head Chef at BaxterStorey, and Head Chef at the former one Michelin-starred Drakes on the Pond, where he earned the restaurant’s star at the age of 25.
Simon joined Gleneagles in 2017, and has continued to develop its food and drink offering to the hotel’s high standards.
At the time of publication, it is not understood what Simon’s next move is or who is due to replace him as the restaurant’s executive chef.
