Michelin Guide UK 2022: Michelin to reveal new stars next month
the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2022 will reveal the new Michelin stars for the year online on Wednesday, 16th February 2022
The new stars will be revealed on social media, via the guide's Twitter and Instagram accounts, as well as on its website.
Bib Gourmands will be announced on Friday, February 11th at 10am. Meanwhile, special awards (Chef-Mentor, Young Chef, Service, Sommelier and Newcomer) will be revealed on Tuesday 15th.
Michelin stars and Green stars will be announced on Wednesday, 16th February 2022 at 10am. The following day, the guide will publish what is says will be "an exclusive interview" with the chef at a newly-awarded Michelin-starred restaurant.
The ceremony revealing new stars for 2021 was pushed back from October 2020 to January 2021, and there was hope that this year would see the resumption of a physical event, but the recent lockdown threw a spanner in the works.
For the second year running, the guide will be published in digital format only, and will be available to see on the guide's website as well as on its app.
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides said: “Naturally we are disappointed that we are unable to host this event in person, as we know how much everyone enjoys these occasions. However, we can promise you that these days will be full of exciting news, as we have many wonderful new awards to reveal”.
Stay tuned for news ahead of the event, our chefs' predictions and live coverage of the awards.
