A premier league football team has announced the signing of two Michelin-starred chefs to revolutionise matchday dining.
Fulham FC is enhancing its matchday and hospitality experience with the appointment of two world-class chefs, Alex Dilling and Oli Marlow, at The Riverside, their newly redeveloped stand by the River Thames.
Alex Dilling is a highly acclaimed chef known for his meticulous French-inspired cuisine. He currently holds two Michelin stars at his restaurant, Alex Dilling at Hotel Café Royal in London.
Alex also worked closely with Helene Darroze, leading the culinary team as executive corporate chef and maintaining two Michelin stars between London and Paris.
His first foray into the world of haute-gastronomie was at Alain Ducasse's New York restaurant under the direction of Didier Elena and Tony Esnault at Adour. He was there when restaurant won its Michelin star in 2008 and its second the following year.
He then did a stint as chef de cuisine at Caviar Russe, which saw the restaurant receive a Michelin star in 2013.
When he returned to Europe, he took over at Hélène Darroze's restaurant at The Connaught, where he was executive corporate chef, maintaining the restaurant's two stars whilst also overseeing the chef's eponymous Michelin-starred establishment in Paris.
In July 2018, Alex succeeded The Greenhouse's former executive chef, Arnaud Bignon, who spent six years at the helm and earned the restaurant's second Michelin star. Gary Rhodes won the restaurant's first star in 1996.
Oli Marlow won the Great British Menu competition in 2021, impressing judges with his main course "Special Delivery."
Oli is also the international exective chef of Roganic Hong Kong, overseeing several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Aulis in London and Phuket, Roganic in Hong Kong, and Ion Harbour in Malta.
Alex Dilling, said: "When it comes to food, I’ve always aimed for the top, so joining Fulham, a club that strives for excellence both on and off the pitch, feels like a perfect match. Fulham is putting something truly special on the table, both in the Premier League and in the kitchen, and I’m excited to be part of a team that’s as ambitious about their food as they are their football."
Oli Marlow said: “As a lifelong Fulham fan, it's an absolute honour to become part of this incredible family football club. I'm excited to contribute to enhancing the match-day experience for fans, and I'm committed to achieving just as much success off the pitch as the team delivers on it. I look forward to sharing my passion for great food and hospitality with the Fulham community.”
Elliot Machin, head of sales & hospitality operations at Fulham FC said: “London is one of the most competitive sports hospitality markets in the world, and our vision for The Riverside is to deliver something truly exceptional. We require an elite roster of chefs to take on the competition and with these signings, we’ve acquired a winning culinary team.”
