Roux Brew shortlist drawn up

Michel Roux Jr has whittled down five brews to choose from in his quest to find the new suppliers for ‘Roux Brew’.  A high profile judging panel including Michel, Albert Roux, head sommelier at Le Gavroche David Galetti, Gregg Wallace, Silvano Giraldin, head chef at Le Gavroche  Rachel Humphrey and Luke Finegan, sous chef at Roux at Parliament Square, have completed round one of the judging process and picked out the ones they felt stood out with varied flavours and styles. Jason Atherton unveils plans for Tower 42 restaurant

Chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton has unveiled plans for his first City restaurant, which will open on the site of Gary Rhode’s former eatery on the 24th floor of Tower 42 in May. Read more from Big Hospitality  

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver plans to open Italian restaurant in Hong Kong

Six years after his first effort to establish a restaurant in Hong Kong fell through, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is on the way back.  Oliver plans to open a branch of his Jamie’s Italian chain in a new building in Causeway Bay in July.  The new 200-seater restaurant, set up with local partner Big Cat Group, will be on the second floor of the new building in Tang Lung Street, home to a cluster of food and beverage outlets.
