This year's listing, which was announced earlier today, sees Atelier get bumped up from two to three stars and four restaurants receive two stars in the Michelin Guide Germany 2018.

The Michelin Guide Germany 2018 has unveiled its list of restaurants to receive a coveted star this year. Among them are Atelier in Munich which is the only new addition to the three star category, while four restaurants receive two stars for the first time and a further 29 earn one star.

Headed up by chef de cuisine, Jan Hartwig Atelier at Hotel Bayerischer receives the much sought after third star.
