Are You Being Served? Our new feature starts this week

The Staff Canteen
The Staff Canteen, the UK’s number one chef website, is pleased to bring you a brand new feature, “Are You Being Served” in association with Nespresso, which will champion key food service professionals in a monthly feature that begins with Fred Sireix from Galvin at Windows on Park Lane. Fred is one of the industry leading food service professionals and it was no coincidence he featured with Michel Roux Jnr in the BBC2 series “Michel Roux’s service”. The monthly feature will celebrate restaurant managers and front of house professionals who, as part of a team, form a forward thinking, customer-led approach to food and food service. It will highlight those operations that are renowned for great service work as part of one combined kitchen and service team and who place guest experience as paramount to their success. ‘Are You Being Served?’ is supported by Nespresso, the world leader in coffee maker technology and Jenny Fyans, B2B Marketing Manager for Nespresso UK Ltd, said: “Nespresso has been working with chefs and front-of-house professionals for many years to ensure the perfect coffee course is served to guests in a way that enhances the overall dining experience. “Are You Being Served? champions the front of house role and the ingredients that create a truly outstanding dining experience; passion, efficiency, expertise and quality – all values that are at the core of the Nespresso business and the very reason why we are delighted to support it.” The feature will also deliver a video each quarter as video has proved such a powerful communication tool with our YouTube channel reaching over 250,000 monthly video views. It is a format our audience are demanding more of as it is a content source that is easy to consume in their busy professional work lives. The video will showcase both the skills and the insights into what it takes to work in a front of house team at the highest level. The first instalment of ‘Are You Being Served?” will be available exclusively on The Staff Canteen website from Thursday morning.
