Wild-Harvest-logo   After the beautiful summer we had it is now time to look at the Autumn offering.

Wild Mushrooms & Trufflesmini girolles

We are now working autumn truffle and the first batch of white truffle has now landed. A nice and comprehensive assortment of mushrooms is available with:
  • Whole or sliced ceps from Romania
  • Trompettes from Croatia
  • Pied de mouton, grey and yellow chanterelles from Bulgaria
  • Girolles from Russia and mini girolles from Lithuania
Scotland is still giving us a steady mushroom supply with girolles, pied de mouton and grey chanterelles.

Fruits

It is time to say goodbye to the stone fruits and concentrate on what England offers with Cox and Russet Apples leading the way. English applesDamsons, sloes and crab apples are still available. Gallic walnut and also chestnuts have made an appearance. Muscat grape is still very sweet.

Vegetables

The squash family is expanding with potimarron, spaghetti squash, Hokkaido Squash. We are stocking a beautiful mix colour kale, purple and yellow cauliflower Mix colour kale Root vegetable like Jerusalem artichoke, turnip boule d’or fit perfectly in an autumn dish Red meat radish is now available A wide range of baby vegetable is still available.

Foraging

We cover a wide territory to bring:
  • Scottish wood sorrel
  • Sea aster, sea purslane from Norfolk, sea beet, rosehips, nettles,

Game Offering

Some new lines added like  venison liver and venison trimmings . GrouseGrouse and partridges are still “flying High” Mallard makes a timid appearance Fallow and Red deer haunch or saddle are still stocked Hare is in good supply Wood pigeon whole or breast also  available Wild Boar ( haunch, saddle or diced)

Ambient Corner

Time for preparing Christmas menus ?
  • Chestnuts are available in different forms puree, paste, whole confit, flour, honey.
  • Cranberries in water or  dried  will complement some game dish.
  • Bringing a wow factor are Sosa Popping Candy or Gold Powder.
