With a selection of new product launches on the horizon, a number of prestigious competitions in the pipeline and a huge sponsorship deal in the bag, 2014 is really looking set to be Majors’ year.

With the growth rate we had in Q3 and Q4 of 2013, this year was always destined to be phenomenal and the first three months have exceeded expectations. This year we’ve already developed a number of new ranges and products to add to our existing lines and the buzz around the Major Headquarters is infectious.”
These new products are due to be launched at Hotelympia 2014 and what a show it is shaping up to be. With a team of chefs on hand to create some of your favourite Major recipes along with samples of all the new products, you won’t want to miss out. Come along to Stand 4941 to chat to the team and become one of the first in the industry to taste these exquisite flavours and complete new ranges. Major really are leading the market in terms of innovation and flavour development. They have seen the trends over the last few years and have not only taken them on board but have explored new areas by developing new concepts in parallel to the hugely popular street food and Asian cuisine phenomenon.
Alongside these extensive developments, Major continually sponsor a number of prestigious competitions throughout the year and once again are proud to partner with the Craft Guild of Chefs to sponsor the highly attended Major Series event. The event, in its twelfth year has grown in strength to become one of the industry’s greatest platforms for today’s most aspiring chefs. The next heat for this event is to be held at Durham College on Friday 16 May and this year the composition has been slightly changed to reflect the current climate and the new Major Simply Taste concept by introducing a ‘street food’ element.
Last weeks TUCO/Major Chef of the Year competition held at Blackpool was once again a huge success and the judges picked out a number of talented individuals to take home the winning prizes. The most valuable, being a week's stage at the Michelin-starred, Great British chef Simon Hulstone’s restaurant, the Elephant. “We believe that it is crucial to provide an opportunity for people to enhance and acquire further skills to allow progression and have a platform to move on from. We continually support industry events and competitions such as TUCO to reflect this as we want to nurture the best young talent in the field," continues David Bryant.
Major are also proud to report a new sponsorship deal which has just been agreed for the next three years. “I’m delighted to announce that we are now one of the official sponsors of the Craft Guild of Chefs Culinary team for the foreseeable future," says David. "We’d like to wish them every success in their forthcoming events and future competitions and we feel that it’s the right time for Major to become a working partner supporting them through the next few years.”
