It's a wrap for Hospitality Action's Lunch Box Day

Social media was buzzing on Friday 23 October as Hospitality Action’s first ever Lunch Box Day took place.

The charity asked all companies that provide lunch for its employees to encourage staff to bring a packed lunch to work on this dedicated day. The money saved by the company was then donated to Hospitality Action. All those who took part posed for a #SandwichSelfie or two making it a lunch time to remember!

Hotels including The Hoxton, the Hilton Bankside, The Manor House, Milsom Hotels & Restaurants and Hotel Indigo Liverpool all joined in the fun. Sauce Communications, Mercieca, Custard Communications, Salt and Pepper Events, and Jellybean Creative Solutions also participated as did Chef Jobs UK, COREcruitment and ACT Clean.

Adam Handling, head chef at Caxton Grill within St. Ermin's Hotel whipped up a delicious lunch time menu for employees in return for a charitable donation.

St. Ermin's Director of Sales and Marketing Stuart Leckie said: “Lunch Box Day was a great idea, our staff all got behind it and the morale went up about 100% once they saw the food! It was so easy to take part in; we’re looking forward to next year’s Lunch Box Day already!”

Donations are pouring in and the money raised will go towards helping those in serious need across the hospitality industry.
