The book is packed with traditional recipes from the region that he and his two brothers grew up on with many featuring in their parents family restaurant.

The Rules

- No username on the twitter post - no entry
- No #chefplus - no entry
- The first three names drawn from the hat will win a signed copy of “Roots” and a Staff Canteen mug
- The next five names out will receive a Staff Canteen mug
- This competition will run from Monday 28th January to Friday 1st February at 6:00pm (UK time) .
- On Monday 4th February The Staff Canteen will post a list of names that will be entered into the draw.
- The draw will take place over the weekend of 9th-10th of February.
- The Staff Canteen will announce the winners by video post
- Winners have upto 72 hours to claim their prize by emailing mark@thestaffcanteen.com, prizes that have not been claimed within this timescale will be re-drawn.
- The Staff Canteens decision is final, and no discussion will be entered into.
- The Staff Canteen will post prizes free of charge to UK mainland addresses, outside of this postage will be charged at the standard rate.
