Will Torrent to collaborate with Harrods for exclusive event

To celebrate his new book, Will Torrent has joined up with Harrods to produce exclusive patisserie dishes for The Tea Room at Harrods from 15 to 29 February.

To tie in with his forthcoming book, Afternoon tea at home, Will will recreate two of his favourite recipes from the book for £9.95 each including his version of the jaffa cake and a mango, lime and coconut mille-feuille.

Will added: “I’m absolutely delighted to be working with the amazing team at Harrods to help launch 'Afternoon tea at home' - what better place? The two lines are based on two of my favourite recipes from the book and having worked with Markus Bohr (Exec. Pastry Chef) and the team closely on helping them come to Harrods reality; I know customers will love them!”

Will’s version of the Jaffa Cake includes a hazelnut and vanilla sponge, crunchy citrus feulletine layer, Harrods signature milk chocolate ganache, and passionfruit jelly encased in a shiny chocolate glaze and delicate chocolate decorations. The mango, lime and coconut mille-feuille has layers of caramelised puff pastry filled with a creamy coconut creme diplomat, and a fresh and zingy lime mango and lime compote topped with fresh mango dressed in lime and coconut twirls.

Afternoon tea at home is available now and features 80 delicious afternoon tea recipes, with curated tea menus from Will and 6 guest recipes from The Ritz, The Dorchester, The Berkeley, Harrods and more.

Will Torrent’s cakes will be at The Tea Room, 2nd Floor, Harrods, 87-135 Brompton Rd, London SW1X 7XL from 15-29 February 2016 and the patisserie lines are priced at £9.95 each.
