Who is chef Parminder Singh, MasterChef: The Professionals 2022 quarter-finalist?
Ahead of MasterChef: The Professionals 2022, which airs on BBC One every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 november, we find out more about the chefs taking part.
Introducing Parminder Singh, a private chef for Ultra High Net Worth clients (UHNW), working both in the UK and abroad.
He has previously worked in kitchens around the world, including Indian Accent in Delhi.

Parminder lives with his wife in London but is orginally from Taran Tarn, in Punjab, North India.

Do you have a favourite type of cuisine?
Parminder's style of cuisine is contemporary Indian, using traditional recipes with global ingredients and modern techniques.
How did you become a chef?
"Being from a family of teachers, I initially started studying Science but I dropped out and began culinary college to start a job as soon as possible to help out my family financially."
Where have you worked?
Graduate In Hotel Management, Management trainee Old World Hospitality, Sous Chef at Indian Accent, Delhi (in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List), Head Chef at Indian Accent, London and New York.
What has been the highlight of your career to date?
"There are a lot of career high points for me. I’ve been part of kitchen teams getting into The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List, the Asia Top 10 list, The Michelin Guide and part of teams who’ve been awarded three Rosettes."
Why did you want to take part in MasterChef: The Professionals?
Parminder began planning for MasterChef: The Professionals when he first saw the show on television a few years back. It’s something he's wanted to do for a long time. It’s a great learning experience for every chef to have.
