Two new 2 star restaurants in the Michelin Guide Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo 2018
The Michelin Guide Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo 2018 has been released and there are two new 2 star restaurants and two new 1 star restaurant in this year's guide.

This is the fourth edition of the guide for the two main cities of Brazil and Chef Felipe Bronze's Oro in Rio de Janeiro, known for its avant-garde Brazilian cuisine, was awarded its second star. In São Paulo, chef Ivan Ralston led Tuju to two stars, its identity based on the research of Brazilian ingredients and the discovery of suppliers who value the traditional products and techniques of the country. Alex Atala's D.O.M. retained its two stars in this year's edition as well.
Both in São Paulo, Ryo Gastronomia and Tangará Jean-Georges join the ranks of the country's one-Michelin-starred restaurants, bringing the total to 15. Ryo Gastronomia specializes in kaiseki, offering a complete and exclusive Japanese gastronomic experience.
Tangará Jean-Georges, part of the global Jean-Georges Vongerichten empire, offers a modern international cuisine using the best ingredients and Brazilian flavors.
A total of 33 restaurants were awarded a Bib Gourmand. The four new restaurants include Fitó, Piccolo, Petí Panamericana, and Bio.
