Top chefs such as James Petrie, Jose Pizarro and MasterChef: The Professionals winner Steve Groves, will be competing against 10 other chefs this Sunday during the Eat Bake Love event in Beast restaurant, Mayfair, hosted by The Bread Factory and Dan Doherty of Duck and Waffle.

Eat Bake Love has been organised not only to celebrate some of the world's greatest chefs and artisan bakery, but to raise money for the Action Against Hunger charity.

An array of talented chefs are taking part in this year’s competition to cook the best ‘bakery themed’ dish. Guests at the event are then given the power to vote for the best dish, and the winner will be given the opportunity to develop a bespoke bread that will be sold nationally by The Bread Factory, with all proceeds going to Action Against Hunger.

Chefs already confirmed for the event include:

James “Jocky” Petrie

Jose Pizarro

Alyn Williams

Glynn Purnell

Shaun Searley

Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias

Steve Groves

Damian Clisby

Tom Cenci

Steven Burgess

Kenny Atkinson

Nieves Barragan Mohacho

Dean Arbel, Managing Director at The Bread Factory, said, “Our vision at the bread factory is to make good bread available to everybody. We have been inspired by the work of the team at Action Against Hunger, and are thrilled to have bakery at the core of this event where we can make a difference and help support this hugely important cause.”

Alongside the baking competition, an auction and raffle will be held in order to raise money for Action Against Hunger, by selling money-can’t-buy prizes. The event, which is sponsored by
Taittinger champagne, will be offering guests a champagne reception and live music.

Dan Doherty, executive chef at Duck and Waffle, said, “The success of EatPlayLove back in 2013 inspired us to do it again, this time adding a different element to help make this a two-tiered fundraising event with the amazing Bread Factory. I've worked with ACF for a few years now and wanted to do something unique to raise more funds inspired by my Myanmar cycle in September.”

The event will be held at Beast restaurant, Mayfair, Sunday, November 8 from 1-6pm. Tickets are charged at £120 which you can buy here: Eat Bake Love 2015
