Top Birmingham chefs cook for British Culinary Federation Awards Dinner

This year will mark the first time four Michelin-starred chefs from Birmingham will cook for the British Culinary Federation (BCF) Awards Dinner in September.

The four Midlands based chefs will each cook a course at the Gala dinner held at the Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday, September 18, 2016.

On arrival guests will be treated to champagne and canapés before being seated for the five course dinner. Chef Richard Turner from Turners, Birmingham will start proceedings with tomato, curds, green tomato seeds, basil and olive oil. This will be followed by flamed mackerel, gherkins and English mustard by Brad Carter from Carters of Moseley. Chef Luke Tipping from Simpsons in Edgbaston will cook venison, truffle puree and mushrooms and Adam Bennett from the Cross in Kenilworth will serve up chocolate, peanut butter, banana and sea salt caramel for dessert. Cheese, coffee and petit fours will then finish off the dinner.

Tickets cost £80 per person but guest can take advantage of an early bird booking priced at £72. Tables of 10 will be charged at £720 and senior/junior prices will cost £72 if you a member or £70 as part of the early bird offer.
