Top 10 most influential chefs of the past and next decade from the UK
Elite Traveler and food critic Andy Hayler have named Michelin-starred Tom Kemble and Clare Smyth among their top five most influential chefs of the next decade.
The UK list, unveiled yesterday by private jet lifestyle magazine Elite Traveler, named the top 10 most influential chefs, including five from the past decade and five from the next.
The chefs considered the most influential of the past decade were Simon Rogan of L’Enclume in Cumbria; Stephen Harris of The Sportsman in Kent; Ashley Palmer Watts of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London; Nathan Outlaw of Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Cornwall; and Brett Graham of The Ledbury in London.
Whilst, Tom Kemble of Bonhams in London; Graeme Cheevers of Martin Wishart in Loch Lomond; Mikael Jonsson of Hedone in London; Clare Smyth of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London; and Elizabeth Allen of Kaizen in London were named most influential of the next decade.
The list was compiled by the magazine, alongside food critic Andy Hayler, he has spent over 20 years critiquing food and he has eaten in all the three Michelin-starred restaurants in the world, several times.
