The Staff Canteen Live College tour is going to Farnborough
The Staff Canteen is headed to Farnborough for the latest of its Live College Tour events on June 18th 2019 to celebrate hospitality for the great industry it is
Building on the success of previous events, we're hoping to inspire and encourage students to consider a career in hospitality by giving them the opportunity to meet some of the country's best chefs. The event will be streamed live on our YouTube and Facebook channels
- Find out about our visit to University College Birmingham with Aktar Islam, Louisa Ellis, Rob Palmer and David Lythall
- Watch our round-up video and read all about the Bournemouth and Poole College Tour with chefs Adam Byatt, James Golding, Pip Lacey and Tom Rhodes
- Our first College Tour was at Westminster College with chefs John Williams MBE, Alyn Williams, Rob Kennedy, Glenn Evans and Ruth Hansom
This time we have The Coach head chef, Tom de Keyser, Matt Pickop, a regional executive chef at Gategroup, executive chef of women-only social club in London's Fitzrovia, Allbright, Sabrina Gidda and The Vineyard sous-chef, formerly of The Latymer, Alex Payne.
The chefs will sit on an hour-long panel hosted by The Staff Canteen editor Cara Houchen, after which they will answer students' questions about how to lead a successful career in hospitality.
Students will also be entered into a competition draw; the winner will be given the opportunity to spend a day in the kitchen of his/her choice among the chefs on the panel.
The tour is in association with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Action and is sponsored by Koppert Cress and Alaska Seafood. As is the case at each of its College Tour events, the Staff Canteen will be donating £1000 to Hospitality Action on behalf of the chefs on the panel.
