Prêt-à-Portea, The Berkeley’s twist on afternoon tea featuring pastries and cakes inspired by the latest fashion designs, has launched its new winter collection.

Head pastry chef at the Berkeley Mourad Khiat said: “Afternoon Tea in London is as popular as ever and it is exciting to be able to combine one of our guests’ favourite activities with leading fashion designers of the world.”

The new Prêt-à-Portea collection pays homage to the 40th Anniversary of Diane Von Furstenberg’s iconic wrap dress with a shimmering golden ginger biscuit. Other fashion favourites include Moschino’s quirky ‘Yellow M’ handbag recreated with a blood orange Victoria sponge swathed in red quilted chocolate and Dolce & Gabbana’s whimsical night owl with blackcurrant bavarois and star anise pannacotta savouring the designers’ Sicilian forest fantasy.

Fashion fans can also indulge in Christopher Kane silk-organza peanut sponge cake, Valentino’s mini dress chocolate tartelette and Matthew Williamson macaroons. Jimmy Choo continues to make a stand with the monochrome chic Cayla zebra print bag in Dulcey chocolate moelleux following the previous success earlier in the year of the Pret-a-Portea Jimmy Choo Collection.

Prêt-à-Portea is served in The Caramel Room at The Berkeley from 1-6pm every day priced at £41 per person (£49 including a glass of Laurent Perrier champagne or £55 per person including a glass of couture champagne).
