The Artichoke to host an evening with Jason Atheron
The Artichoke has announced they are to host a one-night-only charity event with Jason Antheron who, along with The Artichoke’s husband and wife team Laurie and Jacqueline Gear, will be producing a bespoke six course tasting menu on Wednesday 10th June 2015.
This special event is being held in aid of a local charity called DRUMBEATS. The Ced Sharpley Fund was set up by two of the Artichoke’s regular guests to raise money for the Intensive Therapy Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Funds are used to improve facilities and patient care at the unit.
The evening will commence with a Charles Heidsieck Champagne Reception with 'Snacks', followed by six specially crafted dishes by the two chefs, complementing each other's styles. Each course will be accompanied by a matching wine exclusively selected by Laure Patry, Executive Head Sommelier of Social Company and our very own Restaurant Manager/Sommelier Matteo Scaccabarozzi.
After dinner there will be a live auction, giving a fantastic opportunity to bid for the kindly donated unique gourmet 'lots'.
Tickets for this unique occasion are strictly limited and priced at £195.00 per person;
to include champagne, snacks on arrival, six course tasting menu, matching wine flight, coffee and handmade petits fours and mineral water; as well as a signed copy of Jason Atherton's current cook book Social Suppers, per couple, as a memento of the evening.
