Sunday Times top 100 Restaurants - the full list

Today sees the release of the Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants in Britain. Earlier we brought you the top 20, but here is the full list, including all the details for each region.

The guide is published in association with Harden’s, and is based on 70,000 reviews from more than 6,000 consumers covering the whole of Britain.

The restaurant list is composed of 47 from London, 11 from the South West, 11 from the South East, 7 from the North West, 7 from the Midlands, 3 from Yorkshire, 2 from the East, 1 from the North East, 8 from Scotland, 2 from Wales and 1 from Jersey.

 

 

Here's a summary of each region:

• Of the 47 London restaurants featured, sixteen are in Mayfair, up from 13 in 2013.


• In the South West, Wilks in Bristol is the city’s first ever entry at 95.


• The South East's Bray is looking like a top destination this year, with Heston's Blumenthal's Fat Duck and Waterside Inn both featuring in the top 30 at 29 and 10 respectively.


• The North West has seen no new entries this year, but L’Enclume is at 3 and Fraiche is in the coveted #1 spot.


• Of the seven Midlands restaurants featured, three of them are in the top 10: Mr Underhill’s in Ludlow, Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham and Harry Place in Great Gonerby, the highest ranked new entry at 8.


• Yorkshire's three entries give it the best performance since the list was first published in 2010.


• The East has two entries, including the new entry The Neptune in Norfolk at 32.


• Excitingly for the North East, this year sees the region’s first ever entry into the list - Michelin starred restaurant The Raby Hunt Inn in Summerhouse has joined the top 30 at number 26.


• Both of Wales' entries have gone into the top 50; Tyddyn Llan in Llandrillo is a re-entry at 36 after appearing in 2011 and 2012 but dropping out in 2013, and Checkers in Montgomery is a brand new entry at 45.


• Jersey had no entries last year, but this year sees The Bohemia at The Club Hotel & Spa make the list.
