Staff Canteen lends support to Hospitality Action

The chef's favourite web site, The Staff Canteen www.thestaffcanteen.com has shown its generous side by committing its long term support to the industry charity, Hospitality Action.

As of April 4th, The Staff Canteen will donate 1 pence to Hospitality Action every time someone clicks one of the sponsor's banners on its new and improved website.

This modern approach to fundraising will cover all commercial campaigns featured on The Staff Campaign, which is sponsored by companies keen to appeal to The Staff Canteen's database of over 4,500 chefs.

Mark Morris, founder of the Staff Canteen and himself a chef for 17 years, says, "Hospitality Action is a great charity which resonates strongly with our forum members, some whom may one day benefit from its services.  We are passionate about the fundraising and support undertaken by the team at Hospitality Action and its work through the Ark Foundation.  We already host a banner for the charity and list all of Hospitality Action's fundraising event on our website but we wanted to find a way of raising more significant funds.

"With the new click through donations, every time someone visits our sponsors they will not only be sourcing useful information for their business, but supporting a very worthy cause." 

Morris is hoping to raise more than £3000 over the next 12 months through this campaign and other site activity .
