After an intense day of competition at the third edition of the Junior Chocolate Masters, Samantha Rain from Rococo Chocolates has been awarded the coveted title of UK Junior Chocolate Master 2014!

The contestants battled it out in this day long competition during which they had to create a chocolate showpiece (minimum height 50cm), 30 moulded pralines and 4 plated desserts, all around the competition’s theme: “Inspiration from Nature”.

The standard of the competition was extremely high and the contestants amazed the judges with their level of skill. Alan Murchison commented “The skills on show were exemplary, and they have all conducted themselves in a very professional way” Also judging was Marc Demarquette who said that the level of the Junior Chocolate Master entrants was “absolutely extraordinary”

Second place went to Seren Argent from Cocoa Black.

Runners up were Timothy Breton from The Dorchester, Steven Sherry from William Curley and Xavier Torne from The Goring Hotel

Yolande Stanley, Head of judges commented: “Wow, what a fantastic day. This is the best UK Junior Chocolate Masters I have ever seen – absolutely amazing”.
