Italian chef Davide Comaschi won the 2013 World Chocolate Masters but as far as the UK is concerned all eyes were on Ruth Hinks.

Ruth is the UK Chocolate Master and has worked with some of the finest pastry chefs and taken part in many competitions worldwide, winning a gold medal in the 2004 Culinary Olympics.

She later went on to set up Cocoa Black with her husband David and was crowned UK Confectioner of the Year in 2011.

And on the grandest stage of all Ruth wowed judges at the World Chocolate Masters last year and achieved a top five place in the 19 person field, the highest ever result achieved by a UK contestant.

The above newly-released video from Cocoa Black gives a snapshot into that competition from the introduction, through to the production of the dishes and the results at the end.
