Rick Stein Group 80th subscriber to HA Employee Assistance Programme
The Rick Stein Group is the 80th company to join Hospitality Action’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) joining a list of clients including wagamama, Soho House Group, Whitbread, CH&Co Group, Calcot Hotels, The Brookwood Partnership, The Langham and Red Carnation Hotels. Over 90,000 employees across the UK are now able to access specialist support 24/7 365 days a year.
Recent research by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG indicates that almost half of workers in the hospitality industry (44.9%) have taken time off due to stress. This, coupled with concerns about skills shortages, has highlighted the increasingly important role benefits such as EAPs, play in attracting and retaining the best people.
Penny Moore, CEO of Hospitality Action, said: “Hospitality Action is delighted to welcome The Rick Stein Group as our 80th subscriber to the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). They, along with our other subscribers, recognise that personal issues and problems can have a major impact on the way people work.
“This can potentially become a significant business cost, not just in hours lost but in productivity and by creating an unbalanced working environment. Our experience shows that many small problems if ‘nipped in the bud’ can be prevented from escalating, and this is exactly what our EAP has been designed to address.”
Michael Rabone, Head of HR for the Rick Stein Group, said: “As our family business grows, our top priority is to support and take care of our people by providing useful benefits that meet individual needs.
“We have great admiration for Hospitality Action and its Employee Assistance Programme, it’s an incredibly important charity going above and beyond to support hospitality industry professionals during any time of need.
