Pierre Gagnaire announced as Honorary President of the Judges for Roux Scholarship 2016
Three Michelin starred chef Pierre Gagnaire will be joining the Roux family at this year's Roux Scholarship 2016 final, as Honorary President of the Judges.
The final, which takes place on Monday, April 4 at Westminster Kingsway College, London, will welcome the award winning chef to head the judges.
Pierre Gagnaire said: “It is a great honour to be a part of this event. I have huge respect for the Roux brothers who were the pioneers of French cuisine in Great Britain. This is a unique event promoting our culinary culture and allowing the next generation of chefs to come out of the shadows for good. I hope I can live up to expectation; I am really looking forward to the day.”
This year, Alain and Michel Roux share the title of joint chairmen of the judges.Michel Roux, founder of the Roux Scholarship is very pleased to have Pierre on board: “I am so delighted to share the Roux Scholarship with my great friend, Pierre Gagnaire as Honorary Judge alongside my son, Alain and nephew, Michel in their debut as joint chairmen. This year will see six finalists create a main dish in three hours. The dish is to be prepared in either a classic or modern style. The six chefs competing for the title of Roux Scholar 2016 are:

The 2016 Roux Scholar will be announced on Monday evening at an award ceremony, held at The Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park London. This year, the award ceremony will be live-streamed via the Roux Scholarship website.
